For the uninitiated, the problem with making a profit from any bookmaker is that they don’t like it – and whilst they will let a losing punter spend their life savings and pay a small fine if they get caught, the moment they suspect you are good at it, you will simply be banned. 

This is where the Betfair exchange (as well as Smarkets, and other betting exchanges) presents an opportunity – because profitable betting systems are allowed to thrive there. Why? Because they do not take your bets and pay your winnings – they simply facilitate the exchanging of bets between people, and charge a small fee (2%) to the winner. They don’t care if YOU win or lose, because every bet has a winner, and thus they make their profit too.

However, beating this modest 2% fee is not as easy as it sounds. If you can find a winning system that churns out +EV bets in a market that is liquid enough to let you get a decent stake on – then you have done what thousands try and fail to do. You have basically found yourself a golden goose. 

And that is exactly what I have done. I have found a whole flock of them!
